(ABC 6 News) – It’s “Pawty Time” for all animal shelters across the country, including the paws and claws humane society.
"Betty White was a big animal advocate herself; so in honor of her 100th birthday, animal advocates are encouraging people to make a donation” states Senior Director of the Paws and Claws Humane Society.
Those donations could be money or items that are part of a wish list including blankets, food, and toys for the animals to play with.
The event has been a resounding success, as the humane society well exceeded their goal of $10,000. In fact, they were able to double their goal. They have also been giving out cookies as a gift of gratitude for those who donate. These donations will go a long way into helping the shelter find the “purfect” homes for their large amount of fabulous felines and delightful dogs.
When asked about how many of each are available, Johnson provided the amounts. "We have about 40 dogs available and probably about 100 cats."
With the help of the outpour of donations, these animals are more ready than ever. If you are interested in making a donation or want to adopt one of these “Pawty Animals”, we have a link to their website right now under featured links.
