(ABC 6 News) – Local blood center is calling on the public to roll up their sleeves, the Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Program is facing extreme shortages in both O+ and O- blood types.

A simple blood donation can save the life of a child with leukemia, restore the strength of a cancer patient, or provide a critical transfusion to an accident victim.
