Boys and Girls soccer Section Championship highlights

(ABC 6 NEWS) – On Tuesday, many local teams faced off for multiple soccer championship games.

The Byron girls faced the Kasson-Mantorville Komets in the Section 1AA title game in Albert Lea. Byron won 1 to 0. This will be their first time heading to state.

The Byron boys faced the Austin Packers in the Section 1AA title. The Bears took the win 7 to 6 and this will be their first time heading to state as well.

Moving over to the Section 1A Championship game in Rochester, the Dover-Eyota boys soccer team played Lourdes. Lourdes won the game 2 to 0.

The Dover-Eyota girls team faced Cotter in the Section 1A game. Cotter won it 2 to 0.

And in Boys Section 1AAA Championship game the Rochester Mayo Spartans faced the Lakeville South Cougars. Rochester Mayo won 2-0 to advance to state.
