(ABC 6 News) — The Austin Bruins returned home for the first time since March 18th to host the St. Cloud Norsemen.
Walter Zacher and Dakota Lenz scored first for Austin and St. Cloud respectively, going into the second period all tied up, 1-1. Braiden Simmons-Fischer attempted to break the deadlock but Norsemen goalie Ethan Dahlmeir prevented a goal.
Sutter Muzzatti’s efforts for Austin proved fruitless as well, fortunately, Austin’s goalie was on point too. Klayton Knapp stopped a shot from Brandon Lajoie en route to 25 saves on the night.
Anthony Menghini would ultimately seal a victory for the Bruins, slapping a puck between Dahlmeir’s legs for an eventual 2-1 win.
