Car taken from couple in their 70s recovered in Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – A car stolen from a home on Thursday was recovered by Rochester police Friday afternoon.
The car was stolen from the 2900 block of Ivory Rd NE in Rochester between 2:30 p.m. on Thursday and 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
The victims were a 74-year-old man and his wife, 73.
Their 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe was parked in the driveway with keys inside the car when it was stolen.
Around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Rochester police found the car on the 400 block of 31st St NE. No one was inside the car and it was locked.
When the man came to pick up his car, he told police he believed the thief was also inside his home. He said his wallet and his wife’s purse were missing from the house.
He told police he believed the thief used the house key attached to the car key to get inside the home.
Police have not made any arrests and this is an ongoing investigation.
