Class AAA Track & Field Day 1 Results

(ABC 6 News) — Thursday saw several high schoolers from the Rochester area advance to the next round of the Class AAA Track & Field Championships.

For the most part, it was Century High School that had athletes advance to Saturday. The Panthers’ boys and girls 4x200m relay teams qualified as did the girls 4x100m and 4×400 relay squads.

Individually, Maximilian Comfere clocked in at 21.32 seconds for a first-place finish in the Boys 200m preliminaries. His Century teammate, Nathan Nelson, came very close in the boys pole vault, but his 15’0" try was three inches short of first place, landing him second.

Only one Mayo Spartan will compete again on Saturday, Hannah Hanson, who qualified in both the girls 100m and 300m prelims.
