Early morning fire causes extensive damage to Rochester laundromat

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester laundromat sustained significant damage after an early morning fire Friday.
Just before 8 a.m. crews responded to a fire call at the Cedarwood Laundromat in northwest Rochester.
Crews arrived to find smoke in the building and the fire sprinkler system activated. A lone individual to officials that the fire was out.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, set up ventilation to remove smoke and other toxic gases.
Damage is estimated at $20,000 dollars due to fire damage to 2 dryers and the ceiling above the dryer as well as water and smoke damage throughout the building.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
