Extra DWI patrols on Minnesota roads through Labor Day

(ABC 6 NEWS) – The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is asking drivers to drive sober, driver smart, and prevent impaired driving dangers as Labor Day approaches.
From Friday through Labor Day, Minnesota roads will have extra DWI patrols as the holiday nears.
Law enforcement will be working to prevent tragic events from happening this summer.
The campaign includes extra patrols, awareness, and education.
As of Aug. 16, 2021, there were 15,154 DWIs compared with 14,349 at the same time in 2020, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety.
