Final night of Social Lights canceled due to severe weather

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: The last night of Social Lights is canceled due to severe weather.

The Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA), in consultation with the National Weather Service and the Rochester Police Department, decided the threat of severe weather was too great throughout the day to continue with the event safely and decided to cancel the event.

The last night of the three-day event was scheduled to take place from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday, the RDA announced that the Social Lights FAM JAM would be canceled.

The RDA thanks everyone who attended Social Lights and the partners who made the event possible in 2022.

(ABC 6 News) – The Social Lights FAM JAM scheduled for Saturday has been canceled.

The Rochester Downtown Alliance said the cancelation is due to the threat of severe inclement weather early in the day, with possible lightning and strong wind gusts predicted.

The RDA will decide about the last night of Social Lights by 9 a.m. March 5.
