(ABC 6 News) – One thing many look forward to every year at Rochesterfest is the food!
Vendors were setting up on Sunday and getting ready for the big week ahead. With some even coming from Wisconsin to be at the event. It’s a family affair for those who work at Charlie’s, it’s been in the family for generations.
"I grew up doing this my whole life because my grandma and grandpa met at a fair. Because both of their families grew up selling food at fairs," said Hailey Miller, a manager at Charlie’s. "Then my dad, his two sisters, are also doing the business so it’s a lot of fun because all of my cousins are doing it. I work with my brothers a lot of the time. It’s just fun to work with your family."
Charlie’s is famous for its hand-dipped corn dogs. Other vendors are selling things like an alligator on a stick, ice cream, and of course, funnel cakes.
