Former Legends building becomes historical landmark

(ABC 6 News) – The former Legends Bar and Grill site was deemed a historical landmark.

The Rochester Heritage Preservation Commission voted 6 to 1 to make the change.

The building was home to one of the first Red Owl grocery stores and the Historic Time Theater in the 1930s.

Commissioners say the building still has many of the original features and architecture.

The building is one of few depression-era buildings left in downtown Rochester.
