Former Minnesota military member found guilty on all 3 charges in sexual abuse case

(ABC 6 News) – A Dodge County jury has found former military member charged with sexually abusing a young girl in Kasson guilty on all three charges.
Michael Lee Cocuzzi was found guilty of 3 counts of criminal sexual conduct in the 2nd degree.
According to court documents, Cocuzzi engaged in sexual acts with a 10-year-old girl at the Baymont Hotel in Kasson in 2020. The victim said the abuse happened on multiple occasions in multiple different locations.

Cocuzzi was honorably discharged from the National Guard in 2013, but has since been in the 1st battalion 77th armor regiment in the U.S. Army in Texas.
Cocuzzi is also part of an active investigation in New York involving Richmond County’s Special Victims Unit.
Sentencing for Cocuzzi is scheduled for August 3.
