Former National Security Advisor discusses crisis in Ukraine

(ABC 6 News) – Ukrainian leaders on Monday say they wrapped up talks with Russian officials but did not come to any agreements over a ceasefire. This is as Ukrainian officials say they hope to join the European Union, and the world awaits to see what move Russian President Vladimir Putin makes next.
Frank Gaffney has a 40-year history in national security and is a former senior national security advisor. He served under the Reagan administration as the assistant secretary of defense when the United States defeated the Soviets decades ago. Gaffney spoke with Betsy Singer on the current crisis in Ukraine and what he thinks needs to happen in the U.S. and abroad to fix the crisis.
