(ABC 6 News) — On Monday in Las Vegas, the National Association of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators inducted a new member into its hall of fame ranks… That being former NIACC Athletic Director Dan Mason.

Mason joined NIACC in 1993, coaching Trojan’s Men’s Basketball. Under his leadership, the Trojans helped bring home the 1994-95 NJCAA D-II National Championship to Mason City.
Mason then became NIACC’s Athletic Director in 2006, helping create a new recreation center and revitalize trojans wrestling.

Mason retired from his position on June 30, 2021, after 19 combined years with NIACC.
