(ABC 6 News) – Some local organizations are coming together to bring music to downtown Rochester this summer.
It’s called the Sidewalk Sessions, and it kicked off at the Peace Plaza on Monday. The Rochester Downtown Alliance is putting it together with help from the city of Rochester and Mayo Clinic. Twice a week, there will be local and regional artists performing downtown.
"To us, it’s really about drawing you back outside again. Making sure that employees who have the option to work hybrid at Mayo Clinic remember how much fun it could be to work downtown and to give anyone who’s walking through downtown an opportunity to linger, and have a delightful surprise," said Holly Masek, Executive Director of the Rochester Downtown Alliance.
Monday’s performer was Audrey Robinson.
The Sidewalk Sessions will happen every Monday and Friday at 12:30. Performances are free and run through August 5.
