Freeborn County Sheriff Kurt Freitag announces retirement

(ABC 6 News) – Freeborn County Sheriff Kurt Freitag announced Friday he will retire in December.
In a statement, Sheriff Freitag said "after 29 years and two months, I have decided the time is right for me to retire from law enforcement, and as your sheriff."
Sheriff Freitag’s last day will be December 31 this year.
