Friend remembers Tia Arleth after ‘suspicious death’

(ABC 6 News) – As investigators search for answers in the death of 28-year-old Tia Arleth, those who knew her are reflecting on who she was.

One friend of Arleth said she wants her to be "known forever as the person she was" because "she deserved better."

"Tia Arleth is an explanation as to who I am as a person today. She was one of my very first few friends moving to Rochester and accepted me for who I was and at our younger years in middle school she was one of my best friends," her friend added. "She truly was a bright light and sunshine to anyone she ever knew. She was a wild and adventurous person and always looked after those she cared about. The light of the room and an eye opener to anyone looking," said a friend of Tia’s, who wished to remain anonymous.

She said she went by "Tia Peace" for a reason because "all she wanted was peace and love."
