Investigation underway into cause of overnight fire in Dodge Center

(ABC 6 News) – The Minnesota State Fire Marshal and the Dodge Center Fire Department are investigating the cause of a house fire in Dodge Center.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said a fire was reported at a home near Central Ave N and 1st St NW around 1:30 Tuesday morning.

The family living at the home woke up to the smell of smoke and the east side of the home was engulfed in flames. Everyone was able to get out of the home. The sheriff’s office said one resident had to get out of the house through a window because the fire was outside her bedroom door.

The scene was cleared around 7 a.m. with the State Fire Marshal arriving around 3:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation.
