Iowa State Fair begins Thursday; Hy-Vee to host vaccination clinics
(ABC 6 News) – The Iowa State Fair begins Thursday in Des Moines.
The fair is the single largest event in the state of Iowa and one of the oldest and largest agricultural and industrial expositions in the country.
Annually attracting more than a million people from all over the world, the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines is Iowa’s great celebration, a salute to the state’s best in agriculture, industry, entertainment and achievement.

Hy-Vee announced that it will host COVID-19, pneumonia and shingles vaccination clinics during the first six days of the Iowa State Fair.
The vaccination clinics will be held daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 11 through Tuesday, Aug. 16.
There is no appointment necessary to receive a vaccine.
Hy-Vee Pharmacy team members will administer the vaccines.
