K-M school district to offer contract for school resource officer position
(ABC 6 News) – Thursday, an update was sent to Kasson-Mantorville families regarding the school resource officer position in the school district.
The district said they will be presenting a contract for services for the next two years to our school board and our mayor for their approval next week.
This week, Superintendent Mark D. Matuska Superintendent Matuska and Police Chief met with Kasson Mayor Chris McKern, Kasson City Administrator Tim lbisch, Officer Jason Peck, Sheriff Scott Rose and K-M Board Chair Kent Harfmann to discuss expectations, job duties and solutions to our SRO position at K-M.
"Although we focused on strategies to make improvements for the school district and the Kasson Police Department, our ultimate goal was to improve how we could best meet the safety and social needs of the kids throughout our school district."
