LIFE Mower County rose sale begins

(ABC 6 NEWS) – A fundraiser to help kids ‘bloom’ is back for its 27th year.
The LIFE Mower County Rose Sale is back! Proceeds will help fund programs benefitting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Austin and throughout Mower county.
You’re able to order roses starting now through Tuesday, March 22.
"It’s a way for them to get out in the community, participate in events, all kinds of things that they don’t get a chance to do. Getting people with disabilities involved in the community is an amazing thing," Dawn Helgeson, executive director of LIFE Mower County said.
Helgeson says over the last few years they have sold 400 dozen roses! That’s nearly 5,000 roses. Not only can you buy some fresh flowers, but she says they’re always looking for volunteers to help make deliveries as well.
