Local students receive Minnesota State Fair Youth Scholarship

(ABC 6 NEWS) – The Minnesota State fair has continued to invest in the education of young adults for years and this year some of the winners of the Minnesota State Fair Scholarship are from Southeastern Minnesota.

The recipients from our area are:
Lafe Aarsvold of Altura
Kelsey Biel of Harmony
Isabelle Patterson of Kenyon
Hayden Poquette of Wanamingo
Anna Ridenour of Dodge Center
Issabella O’Rourke of Wells

Maxwell Ehrich of Elmore

The Minnesota State Fair Scholarship was created in 1994.

20 scholarships of $1,000 are given out each year and since it started nearly $500,000 has been awarded.

These scholarships are funded by the Minnesota State Fair Foundation.
