Man dies after UTV crash in Wells
(ABC 6 NEWS) – A Mankato man has died after a UTV crash on Saturday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
Right before 4 p.m. on Saturday, Freeborn County Deputies responded to a UTV crash in Wells, Minn.
Derek Lindely, 30 from Mankato, was driving the UTV with 25-year-old Megan Lindely from Mankato riding along.
They left the yard and lost control as he headed south on 632 Ave. in Wells, according to the Freeborn County Chief Deputy Todd Earl.
The UTV rolled into the east ditch and Derek Lindely was thrown off and pinned under the UTV.
Megan was not hurt and Derek received life-saving measures at the scene but died from his injuries.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Freeborn Ambulance, Alden Fire Department, North Air Care Air Ambulance, and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain all responded.
