Mason City Community School District names new Superintendent

(ABC 6 News) — The Mason City School Board has named Pat Hamilton as the district’s next Superintendent.

According to a news release, Hamilton is currently the director of student services in the Spencer Community Schools district and before that he was a middle school principal.

Hamilton holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

After working with a recruiting firm, the school board narrowed the superintendent search down to three finalists, who took part in their final interviews on Tuesday, February 22.

Hamilton will officially begin his new role on July 1.
