Mason City police report second shooting in two days
(ABC 6 News) – Mason City police have reported a second shooting in two days.
Around 2 a.m. this morning, residents at West Side Manor Apartments on S Taft Avenue reported hearing multiple gunshots, followed by the sound of a car speeding out of the parking lot.
MCPD officers found evidence that several rounds were fired from the parking lot, some of which struck the nearby apartment building located at 2327 S Taft Avenue.
None of the rounds penetrated the building’s exterior, and there were no injuries reported.
Police do not know whether the incident is related to the 1 a.m. shooting April 6, in a different Mason City neighborhood.
