Mayo Clinic to ease additional COVID restrictions Thursday in Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – ROCHESTER, Minn. – Mayo Clinic said in a Facebook post Tuesday that it would continue to ease COVID restrictions in Rochester beginning Thursday.
The post said it will ease restrictions for patients at inpatient facilities.
- The number of visitors per adult and pediatric inpatient will change to allow two visitors at a time, up to a maximum of five different visitors during a patient’s hospital stay. Visitors must be at least 5 years old, and a responsible adult needs to accompany all visitors under age 16.
- For the Neonatal ICUs on Eisenberg 3-5 and Mary Brigh 5 D/E, the number of visitors will change to allow two visitors age 16 or older over the course of the hospital stay.
- Some overnight restrictions will be eased, as well. For adult patients, two visitors age 5 and older will be provided accommodations for sleeping in the room at the discretion of the care team. Pediatric and Family Birth Center restrictions will not change.
