(ABC 6 News) – Albert Lea Fire Rescue said no one was hurt during a fire at a dealership Wednesday night.

Albert Lea Fire Rescue said the business was closed for the day and only one person was on site but they had left by the time crews arrived.

The fire was reportedly contained to the semitrailer shop portion of the building. An employee said it’s too soon after the fire for the dealership to know how or when they will rebuild.

The cause of the fire and a damage estimate are under investigation.

An employee tells ABC 6 News the business is fully operational and anyone with an appointment does not have to worry. There are other facilities in town Dave Syverson can use for auto work including the Chrysler building.

Crews are responding to a fire at Dave Syverson Auto Center.

The fire started just before 8 p.m. at 2310 E Main St, Wednesday evening. The fire appears to be contained to the truck body shop.

Law enforcement is asking individuals to stay clear from Main St/Prospect Ave area.

This is a developing story. ABC 6 will provide updates as new information becomes available.
