North Iowa Band Festival to celebrate 83 years
(ABC 6 News) – The largest free marching band competition in the midwest is set celebrating 83 years.
The North Iowa Band Festival complete with free live entertainment, carnival, marketplace, and of course, the big parade is scheduled for May 26-30 with the theme "Band Fest on Broadway,"
Entertainment for the festival includes:
John Adams Middle School Band
Mason City Municipal Band
Mason City High School Jazz Band
Mason City High School Orchestra
Des Moines musician Emma Butterworth.
The Nada’s
Mohawks Danzers
Instrument Petting Zoo,
Juni West
Betty and the Gents
The parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, and the North Iowa Band Festival Committee has decided that parade entries will be allowed to distribute candy and other goods in 2022.
