Official: Timberwolves roster expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
KSTP Sports has confirmed that the Minnesota Timberwolves’ roster is expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Darren "Doogie" Wolfson confirmed the news on Twitter, saying vice president of basketball operations Sachin Gupta said two players currently have their first shot and once they complete their second dose, the team will be fully vaccinated.
Earlier this month, the NBA released a memo citing COVID-19 protocols that would have unvaccinated players possessing lockers as far away as possible from their vaccinated teammates and will have to eat, fly and ride buses in different sections.
In addition, unvaccinated players will have to undergo testing on game days and practice days. Vaccinated players will not undergo daily testing and will only be tested if they have symptoms themselves or are exposed to someone confirmed as COVID-19 positive.
Each team will have their own set of rules installed by season’s start.
