(ABC 6 NEWS) – Every year, for the past 64 years, Olmsted County has been partnering with local veterinarians to give your pets rabies vaccines.

Dogs, cats, and ferrets are eligible for the shot. These clinics are an opportunity for pet owners to not only protect their furry friends, but themselves and other members of the community.

Wild animals may often be a source of rabies exposure for domestic pets and livestock.

"The health department is focused on protecting our community from diseases like rabies, so we want to promote a convienent, easy opportunity to vaccinate animals and pets from rabies," Kaitlin Anderson, sanitarian at Olmsted County Public Health said.
