People’s Energy Cooperative warns about a scam

(ABC 6 NEWS)- The scam is a person claiming to be an employee of People’s Energy Cooperative.

A co-op member said someone came to their home after business hours claiming to work for the company.

The scammer offered them a service for a fee of $225.

The member said it wasn’t a good time, so the scammer left.

The cooperative is reminding everyone it does not offer this service and should an employee come to your door they will be wearing a company shirt with their name on it and driving a company car.
