(ABC 6 News) – A group in Austin held an event for the Latino community serving food and the chance to get a COVID vaccine Friday.
The group called "Clues" holds a pop-up food distribution event every fourth Friday of every month.
They have fresh produce and dairy. The group focuses on helping the Latino community but they serve anyone and everyone.
"I’m just appreciative of the partnership and the support that we have from the community just like the food bank but the people in the community. People have also stopped me and said ‘hey can I help out?’ like I don’t just want to grab food but I also want to help out and give out back to the community," Canasta Familiar at Clues Food Access Supervisor Janelle Calvo said.
Channel One Regional Food Bank and Riverland Community Colllege both help support the program.
