UPDATE: RCTC is scheduled to play Ridgewater College at 2 PM on Thursday.
RCTC Baseball was spotless in St. Cloud, but that doesn’t mean they’re done up there.
The Yellowjackets will return to St. Cloud on Thursday to begin their District Tournament run, the prize being a berth to the NJCAA DIII World Series. Head coach Clark Jones’ team stamped out Northfield and St. Cloud Tech over the weekend to qualify for this week’s event and will face Ridgewater College first.
RCTC is riding a five-game winning streak going into Thursday’s game and a .367 collective batting average. Infielder Zebastian Bolduc has eight homers and is averaging .481 at the plate. On the mound, Alec Dietl and Drew Simmons have proved their worth all season with 3.57 and 3.63 ERAs respectively.
As long as the Yellowjackets rerun the table, they’re in the World Series.
