Rochester businesses raising money for Children’s Minnesota in honor of business owner’s son
(ABC 6 News) – Several businesses in Rochester are teaming up to raise money for Children’s Minnesota in honor of a fellow business owner’s son.
The fundraiser is in its second year and honors Marcus Tolbert, the son of Jack’s Bottle Shop owner Jack Lester.
“Children’s Minnesota was Marcus’ primary hospital and where we spent months of our lives. Marcus was born on March 27th, 2011, and battled an Interstitial Lung Disease for 8 years before passing away on November, 3rd of 2019,” said Jack Lester.
“Last year, in our first efforts we were able to raise $13,000 dollars for the Gift of Life Transplant home and we look to double that amount and give it to Children’s Minnesota."
This year, they are selling “Marcus Spirit Bags” for $100 which includes;

- One pound of Queen City Coffee

All items were generously donated by; Queen City Coffee & Juice, Wear Local, Julie’s Cookie Creations, and Barrel Theory Brewing Company.
Orders can be placed online March 1st through March 22nd OR when sold out — limited quantity available.
Orders will be available for pick up May 5th through May 8th. Please choose either Jack’s Bottle Shop or Barrel Theory for your pick up location in the pop-up form
