(ABC 6 News) — One of the Rochester Grizzlies’ top stars this past season will head even further north than Minnesota.
Kyle Bauer, who helped the Grizzlies win the NA3HL Fraser Cup in March, has signed an NAHL tender to play for the Anchorage Wolverines in Alaska.
This comes after Bauer was named NA3HL rookie of the year, scoring 25 goals and 60 points during the championship campaign.
Bauer joins teammate Layten Liffrig who signed with the team back in April. He also joins Rochester native and former Grizzlies assistant coach Mike Aikens, who is the head coach of the Wolverines.
