Rochester man allegedly stabbed by girlfriend’s ex, suspect turns himself in
(ABC 6 News) – Rochester Police responded to a report of an assault just after 10:30 on Friday night at Windsor Court Apartments on 4th Ave SW.
When police arrived on the scene they made contact with a 20-year-old male who appeared to have a stab wound to his mid-section, as he sat outside the building with a towel held to his abdomen.
The victim told police he heard a knock on his apartment door, as well as the voice of his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.
When he stepped out into the hallway, he said he felt what he thought was a punch to his abdomen, until he looked down and saw blood.
The male was transported to St. Marys in Rochester for care.
Mazem Caden Gisi, 20, of Rochester, was arrested and later charged with felony 2nd-degree attempted murder–not premeditated, as well as two cases of felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
Gisi turned himself in to the Rochester Law Enforcement Center at about 1:08 p.m. Sunday, May 29.
His initial court appearance is scheduled for June 8.
