Rochester teen arrested for flashing concealed gun in Walmart

(ABC 6 News) – A teenager was arrested Monday night for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

At about 8:21 p.m. May 16, Rochester police responded to a call from Walmart North that a group of teenagers was making a video, and one of them flashed a gun in his waistband several times.

No threats had been made, Capt. Casey Moilanen said, and the teens appeared to be filming in areas without many people around.

RPD officers arrived as the three subjects were leaving the store, identified the teen with the gun, and located the weapon.

Omari Malcom, 18, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

Moilanen said he was ticketed and released. The other suspects, 19-year-olds from Rochester, were not arrested.

Moilanen said they were filming a video for TikTok, wherein Malcom flashed the gun and cash.
