(ABC 6 News) — After picking up key wins over the past few weekends, Rochester United wanted to finish the season strong heading into the playoffs.
Unfortunately, they could not pull away from the Minneapolis Reign and went on to lose to the team in overtime 115-113.
The United trailed 80-77 entering the fourth quarter but were able to pull ahead after buckets from Hank Dickey and Ajuda Nywesh.
Nywesh led the team with 27 points. Rochester John Marshall grad Dominic Malith was right behind him with 23 points.
3-point shooting has been a calling card for the United and they did not shoot well from long range (6-24) and committed 20 turnovers. They finish the regular season with a 6-5 record.
