Rochester woman assaulted after waking up to find stranger in her home

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester woman was assaulted after police said she woke up and saw a stranger in her home.

Police were called to a home on the 1200 block of 3rd Ave SE just after 4 a.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived they spoke with the 43-year-old woman who said she woke up and saw a man in her bedroom. She told officers he assaulted her before taking some of her belongings and leaving.

The woman was taken to the hospital but was not seriously hurt.

No arrests have been made as of the writing of this article.
