Rochesterfest kicks off with Breakfast on the Farm at Gar-Lin Dairy Farm

(ABC) – The 34th annual breakfast on the farm kicked off Rochesterfest Saturday morning and was hosted at Gar-Lin Dairy Farms.
The farm opened at 6:45 in the morning and gave people a chance to see where their food comes from. Pancakes, sausage and cheese curds were served for breakfast.
There are 1,800 cows on the farm, giving people the opportunity to witness how these cows are milked and how it gets to the table for everyone to enjoy.
Besides filling their stomachs to start the weekend, attendees were also able to ride some tractors, meet the dairy princesses see some animals too.
Little Cece Pietsch loved seeing the horse-drawn carriages, but was most excited to see her favorite farm animal.
"I like the cows cause they look interesting," Pietsch said. "[Because] they have both black and white."
In the maternity barn, one cow even gave birth during the event.
