Rochester’s first electric buses arrive

(ABC 6 News) – Rochester’s first electric buses have finally arrived.

The city now has two 60’ articulated buses that were purchased with a federal grant and are Minnesota-made New Flyer buses.

The new Flyer buses won’t hit the streets for another few weeks as city staff learns about their use, care, and maintenance.

The City of Rochester received more than $3 million in funds to purchase the new electric buses back in 2020.
