Rockford building a total loss in overnight fire Saturday

(ABC 6 News) – Some local Iowa business owners are picking up the pieces after one of their buildings was a total loss in a fire overnight Saturday.

A neighbor noticed a bright orange glow coming from Trettin HE Inc. in Rockford around 9:90 p.m. Saturday.

Fire departments from Rockford, Marble Rock, Rudd, Nora Springs and Floyd County all responded. They fought the fire into the early morning but the building is considered a total loss.

The building held storage and office spaces. No hogs or people were injured.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
