RPD: Slick road conditions cause crash, two pedestrians hit

(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Police Department said two pedestrians and a driver were hurt in a crash Monday morning.
Police said a 67-year-old driver from Rochester was headed south on 3rd Ave SE behind the government center when his vehicle started to slide on the bridge. The vehicle slid up onto the sidewalk where it hit two pedestrians.
A 25-year-old man was hit by the bumper of the vehicle and went up into the windshield breaking it. Police said the man pushed a 42-year-old woman out of the way but she was still hit by the vehicle.
Both pedestrians were taken to St Marys by ambulance. The driver was also taken to St Marys by family members.
Initial police reports no citations will be issued and that all injuries are considered non life-threatening.
