Sheriff: Man hurt while loading ATV in Brownsdale

(ABC 6 News) – The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo One, and other first responders went to a home off 600th Ave in Brownsdale after a man was found outside of his home on the ground.

Responders were told he was breathing, but unresponsive.

72-year-old Duane Anderson was found outside of his home on the ground near an overturned ATV. The sheriff’s office said no one saw what happened, but they believe Anderson was trying to load his ATV on a trailer that was connected to his truck.

The sheriff’s office said it appeared Anderson may have sped up too quickly while trying to drive the ATV on the trailer. The ATV hit the "headache rack" and hit the tailgate of the truck leaving a large dent. The ATV then flipped off the trailer and overturned, according to the sheriff’s office.

Anderson was taken to Saint Marys Campus by Mayo One and had not regained consciousness by the time he was transported. His current condition is unknown at this time.
