Timberwolves part ways with President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas
KSTP Sports/File. Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas spoke with the media, via Zoom, Tuesday at Mayo Clinic Square.
(KSTP)- The Minnesota Timberwolves announced on Wednesday that they are parting ways with President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas.
No explanation was given on the move. The Timberwolves provided the following statement on the update:
"Today, the Minnesota Timberwolves parted ways with President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas. As an organization, we remain committed to building a winning team that our fans and city can be proud of."
Sources tell KSTP Sports that current vice president Sachin Gupta will be the interim president of basketball of operations. He becomes the first person of Indian-origin to run a basketball organization.
Rosas was hired by the team in 2019.
