Two teens go to the hospital following crash Wednesday morning
(ABC 6 News) – Two teenagers went to the hospital following a crash Wednesday morning northwest of Clear Lake.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office said just before 8 a.m. a 2005 Nissan van driven by a 17-year-old from Ventura was headed east on 300th St approaching Balsam Ave.
At the same time, a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 22-year-old from Clear lake was heading north on Balsam Ave.
The sheriff’s office said the 17-year-old failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the Chevy Tahoe. Both vehicles went into the ditch.
The 17-year-old and her 15-year-old passenger went to the hospital. The extent of their injuries was not provided.
The crash is under investigation. Seatbelts were used by all three individuals.
