(ABC 6 NEWS) – The Rochester Police Department is asking for your help to find information on who killed Robert Volgmann, a Rochester man.

His friends and family called him Bobby. They say he was a jack of all trades and could fix about anything. He especially enjoyed building bikes and loved to travel, and dreamed of moving to Hawaii one day.

He was last seen alive on April 12, 2020. Rochester Police say Robert Volgmann was assaulted and killed several days past before his body was discovered on April 16, 2020.

Police are also looking for answers to help solve another cold case, this one involving a Rochester woman, April Sorensen.

On April 17, 2007, almost 15 years ago, a fire was reported at the home April lived in. After the fire was extinguished, Sorensen’s body was found inside the home.

Autopsy reports confirmed she was stabbed and strangled to death.

Police believe the fire was set to cover up the crime.

The Rochester Police department is asking for your help to solve these unsolved cases. Please call the police or leave a tip to crime stoppers if you have any information.
