UPDATE: Knoll Court fire racked up $140K in damages
(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: The Rochester Fire Department estimated that a Monday night house fire resulted in $140,000 in damages.
Captain Brett Knapp with the RFD said the estimated loss to the building is about $80,000, with another $60,000 in property damages.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
(ABC 6 News) – Multiple fire crews responded to a structure fire on the 1100 block of Knoll Court NW in Rochester Monday night.
According to the fire department, the fire was called in around 8 p.m. and crews arrived to find fire coming from the roof on the back side of the house.
The fire department said no injuries occurred at the scene.
At this time the cause of the fire, or the amount of damage caused is unknown. RFD said the fire is being investigated.
RFD also issued a reminder to have an escape plan and practice it to ensure everyone gets out of the house safely in the event of a fire.
