(ABC 6 News) – The crime rate in Minnesota overall is way up and that’s due in large part to the issues happening with crime and policing in the Twin Cities.
St. Paul recently surpassed its all-time murder record for a year with its 35th murder, set in 1992.
Next door, the city of Minneapolis is quickly approaching its all-time record of 97 homicides currently at 91 for 2021. This disturbing milestone seems to be a trend in the wrong direction over the last few years.
Former Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek went in-depth on what is happening and how change can come about.
