(ABC 6 News) – It is devastating news to any parent, a diagnosis of a child with brain cancer often comes with a grim prognosis of less than a year.
The U.S. Department of Defense is giving researchers at Austin’s Hormel Institute a $800,000 grant to find ways of keeping kids alive and turning a prognosis around.
The grant starts on September 1, 2021 and runs until 2024.
